Located three miles north of the Y junction of Hwy's 26/61 north of Ogallala. This access area offers a primitive camping and picnic area, as well as a wide, sandy beach. South of the beach area is a nice stand of mature cottonwood trees providing shade on hot summer days. The area is a favorite for visitors seeking a less crowded beach. When the lake level is high enough, Ogallala Beach is an excellent spot for bank fishing. To the east of Ogallala Beach is a private residential area. |
