Lewellen is an incorporated community located west of Lake McConaughy at the junctions of Hwy's 26 & 92. It is a few miles west of the area where the river widens to form the big lake. Many services typical of those found in the small farm and ranch communities across western Nebraska can be found here. Lewellen is noted as the eastern starting point for the great waterfowl hunting found along the North Platte river valley. |
