Adjacent to Lake McConaughy, Lake Ogallala offers modern camping and good fishing of its own! Situated just below Kingsley Dam, Lake Ogallala is an integral part of the Lake McConaughy recreation complex. Known as the "little lake", it was formed when fill material was removed to build the dam. The lake is 1.5 miles long and 1/4 mile wide. It has about 5 miles of shoreline and covers approximately 320 acres. It connects with the Keystone Dam diversion pond which has a surface area of about 300 acres. |
