Located approximately two miles west of the dam on the north side of the lake, Arthur Bay is at the mid-point of the Shoreline Road

This large, scenic and naturally protected bay is home to the annual Governor's Cup Sailing Regatta because of the easy access off Hwy 92, and the deep water inlet to the bay. There is a boat ramp plus many other public facilities for its visitors.  It boasts fine white sand beaches typical of the north side of Lake McConaughy.  There are many areas suitable for primitive camping, with trees providing shade on hot summer days.
